PRP CONTRACT POSITION August Rose Health Center, LLC is a licensed and CARF accredited agency that provides community based behavioral health services throughout Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Prince Georges County. August Rose is a dynamic and leading provider of psychiatric rehabilitation services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. August Rose Health Center is currently seeking a passionate Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor for Part Time/contractor position. The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor (PRPC) role is a great opportunity to continue your career path in the Counseling, Social work, and the Human Services industry. Benefits of working for August Rose: We provide training, supervision, and assistance with CEUs and licensing costs Work life balance - we value family, independence, and strong work ethics Mentorship REQUIRED Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Social Services industry or related field preferred 1 year of related experience; 2 years of experience of providing direct care with adults and children (Case management, PRP Counselor, Residential Counselor, and Vocational Counselor) preferred Must possess a valid Driver's License, proof of current automobile insurance and may not have more than two (2) points on their driving record. CPRP (Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner credential) is a plus. Responsibilities & Essential Duties: Completes assessment on clients' social, emotional, financial, health, or other problems to develop rehabilitation treatment plan Develop and implements individual rehabilitation plans using a person-centered approach with client Counsels clients, assisting them to identify and resolve problems and make effective use of resources Organizes and conducts psycho-educational and psychosocial recreational activities groups for children, adolescents, and adults, as needed Works closely with families of clients and provides appropriate clinical referrals for family members Develops and maintains contact with other agency staff and local service providers to promote coordination and integration of care Helps clients understand mental illness and how it affects their health and life styles Teaches independence and self-advocacy by encouraging clients do things for themselves Participates in and complete all required training's.
