Who you are: We are looking for an individual who has substantial hands-on ex perience managing multiple offices regionally with a focus on all elements of the workplace environment (inclusive of workplace and property management, food service, office services, space management, and project management). The ideal candidate will have a successful track record with achievements in managing multiple parallel projects with minimal direction, developing teams, operating effectively with a disciplined budget, and improving services. Responsibilities: Real Estate Develop and optimize VMG workplaces across the Eastern United States business to meet our operating plan in terms of space-capacity management and site services. Be responsible for the regional real estate portfolio to include lease negotiation, purchasing, and selling of properties, office furniture, office construction, office remodeling, or decommissioning of a site. Develop a budget for regional Workplace Services Functions by working with Finance, Legal, Leadership, and key team members. Periodically reviews actuals and budgets to ensure the spending is within budget. Take lead from leadership in forecasting capital projects, acquisitions, divestitures, and reduction in force scenarios. Provide a forecast of expiring leases and options for closing the site, obtaining Regis Suites, or implementing a work from home strategy. Ensure all sites have appropriate full-time or contractual staff to manage engineering responsibilities, janitorial services, and landscaping. Ensure contracts are in place for all such services as well as exigent circumstances in the contracts. Provide oversight for contracted services related to shipping/receiving, postage, copier, printers, receptionist, onsite staffing, printing, and graphic design services to all sites through FTE or contracted staff. Facilities Ensure all facilities are operated and maintained in alignment with established standards, laws, regulations, procedures, and OSHA guidelines. Food Program Oversight to foster a healthy food and snack selection through the use of vendors to include meal selection where possible. Establishes a feedback program so selections may vary all the while staying in budget. Minimum Qualifications: Extensive experience in a regional real estate related role Experience working across multiple sites, managing remote teams and projects, change management, crisis management, and sensitive communications, including superior organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience in managing regional service providers and vendors Experience in the negotiation of real estate leases and project management Experience with office build-out and construction projects Demonstrated strength as a manager and hands-on leader; prior experience supervising, coaching, and mentoring contract and unionized labor, as well as administrative staff Experience in preparation & management of capital & operating budgets Excellent attention to detail and ability to strategize on both a micro and macro level Strong written, oral, and presentation skills, and excellent mathematical, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities Demonstrated leadership, responsiveness, and accountability as well as a service-oriented, hands-on approach Yahoo is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
