Job Summary: Plays a key role in coordinating the support of cloud customers during their account lifecycle, including onboarding, billing, account changes, and closure. The Product Manager will also assist with establishing and improving processes and service architecture to optimize conditions for financial analysis for profit maximization and customer utilization. Principal Responsibilities:Measure and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, feature adoption, customer needs and business opportunities, to inform and support billing strategy decisions and guide prioritization.Audit existing cloud billing processes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives related to billing operational efficiencies, including designing and implementing customer and internal stakeholder reporting, analytics and KPIs to ensure billing is complete, accurate, current and that margins are optimized and assured.Lead business requirements definition and operational processes design of cloud billing products and related services. Provide subject matter expertise on billing services strategy and solution design. Ensure stakeholder needs are met while facilitating execution.Design, implement and drive end-to-end billing experiences across cloud platforms and parties including capabilities to support various cloud consumption and pricing models, billing types, reporting, and billing related analytics. Design and implement billing as a service product.Lead Proof of Concepts to enable improved billing experience delivery to stakeholders.Ensure that billing processes and functions are available to support a wide variety of cloud providers, customers, resellers, and technology partners.Own delivery of features and experiences from conception to launch. Manage new features and regular releases through the full project lifecycle, including communication of regular updates to cross-functional teams, and ongoing support after launch.Establish strong working relationships, collaborate with clients, partners, Sales, Sales Operations, Corporate Operations, Cloud Operations, Finance, and IT Services to ensure billing product design is scalable, billing is accurate, timely and optimized for the business, customers, and partners. Develop strategies to ensure consumption-based cloud billing terms are appropriately supported by the billing systems and processes, minimizing customer disputes and queries.Other job functions include On/offboarding of cloud customers; Working with former account holder to transfer accounts in a timely fashion to DLT; Work with customers/end users and contracting officers to shut-off services when funding ends and period of performance has expired; Oversee setting up billing platform for customers; Assist with profit maximization through strategic Reserved Instance purchasing; Serve as customer primary point of contact for all billing related questions; Work with project accounting and other departments to resolve customer billing issues; Assist with customer invoicing as required; Manage cloud billing related internal and external communications, and internal information flow between departments, including Sales, Engineering, Accounting, and others.
