The marketing specialist's role is to work closely with assigned technology partners to develop strategic marketing programs that build awareness, generate demand, and drive pipeline and revenue.A successful candidate will be proficient in building and executing effective marketing programs, knowledgeable about the sales funnel and lead nurturing, and have experience managing partner marketing funds, compliance, and claiming in accordance with the terms and conditions in cooperative marketing agreements.Job Responsibilities:Understand business objectives and drive the planning, execution, and measurement of the marketing strategyExecute marketing initiatives to include events, digital programs, and content to drive awareness, acquire leads, and position the company as a thought leaderManage marketing activities within budgetary guidelines and deadlinesWork with partners to develop joint marketing plans and KPIs, including lead-generation programs, to grow and accelerate sales pipeline and revenueConsistently communicate and collaborate with internal shareholders to ensure program tactics are supporting or exceeding goalsContinually track and report on program metrics, conduct return on investment analysis to determine effectiveness of all marketing programs, and optimize efforts accordinglyManage requests and submissions for all partner MDF campaigns including inputting MDF activities, claims, and processing invoicesDevelop key messaging, core assets, and thought leadership content for partner solutions, including email campaigns, white papers, case studies, webinars, social media, etc.Drive lead generation and customer adoption of partner solutions through comprehensive inbound/outbound marketing campaigns leveraging a mix of online, email, and social mediaMaintain key relationships with stakeholders across marketing, sales/business development, and service teams through calls and face-to-face meetingsWork closely with sales/business development to ensure timely marketing qualified lead follow-upCoordinate with outside service firms (design and external vendors eg 1105, GovLoop, GovExec, etc.) to ensure all deadlines and deliverables are metQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:3-5 years of experience with marketing programs and/or knowledge of partner marketingB.S. in business, marketing, communications, or equivalentExperience scoping and executing co-marketing campaigns with partner organizations (plus if it was within the public sector)Thorough understanding of inbound/outbound marketing campaign elements (advertising, content creation/distribution, events, email, etc.)A willingness to stay up to date with the latest trends and changes in inbound/outbound marketingAdvanced computer skills, including MS Office and marketing automation software (Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, and Microsoft 365 CRM)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience providing a high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and deliver resultsAbility to travel up to 25%Desired Qualifications:3+ years of partner marketing or related experience1+ year of experience using a CRMExperience tying marketing programs to ROI metricsDemonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated yet customer-focusedThe duties and responsibilities listed in this job description generally cover the nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
