This position will be located at the NAS (Naval Air Station) Patuxent River, MD.Where Technology and Teamwork come together The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's team at NAS (Naval Air Station) Patuxent River, MD. Supporting real world operations. The qualified applicant will work with the team to provide all aspects of Engineering Support to an operational lab to ensure that the system is operational and ready to support testing and operational missions. Ancillary duties may include occasional system administration coverage to support operations, maintaining system documentation, fine tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. This position requires the capability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. It is imperative that the qualified applicant have the ability to listen carefully and begin the process of identifying and comprehending the issues, and ultimately working with on-site personnel to implement a timely solution. The qualified applicant will be required to provide 24x7x365 availability when necessary and the willingness to respond to and address any and all problems via phone or on-site when needed.Roles and Responsibilities:Provide all aspects of Engineering support during operational missions as needed to include 24x7x365 availability when necessary and the willingness to respond to and address any and all problems via phone or on-site when needed.Acting lab manager of integration labLiaison to customer to support RDT&E and integration efforts in the labProvide software/hardware maintenance, and install software upgrades and patchesPerform security scans and implement security configurations as necessaryPerform periodic full recoveries of system in Integration lab from the operational lab backups to maintain a comparable environmentCollaborate with 3rd party hardware vendors to assist and coordinate hardware/firmware updatesDesign, develop and maintain automation in integration and operational labCollect and report system maintenance data metrics to support Reliability and maintainability effortsQualificationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 9 years of related experience or Master's Degree with 7 years of related experiencePractical knowledge across the entire IT spectrum specifically; Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Dell /EMC Isilon mass storage, networks, DMZ, VLAN's, inter-VLAN communication, database migration, and SQL databases5 years direct experience with Windows 10 operating systems5 years direct experience in Windows Server Administration to include active directory administration, and webserver administration5 years direct experience developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts2 years direct experience in vCenter Server/vSphere/EXI configuration, maintenance and administrationDirect experience with RADIUS serversDirect experience with DISA STIGS and checklistsDirect experience with ACAS scanningCurrent CompTIA Security + CertificationCurrent CCNA certificationCurrent active US Government DoD Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:Master's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years' experience in a technical position supporting complex server systemsCyber Security remediation and mitigations experienceCisco networkingActive Top Secret Security ClearanceCompTIA A+ IT Technician CEMicrosoft Certified Professional (MCP)Network+/Window OS certificationSalary Range: 125500 - 188300Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
