People like you!Job DescriptionPosition Overview:The Production Supervisor role will focus on producing a high quality product by leading employees to maintain a high level of awareness on safety, environmental and process compliance.Key Responsibilities:Recognize IKO values and exemplify them in your daily workLead a positive change effort to improved performance by motivating, recognizing and inspiring others to be effective and efficient in their activitiesChampion hazard identification, evaluation and control through the behavior based safety and risk assessment programsLead daily safety share, encourage and recognize all safety behaviorIncrease employee engagement and improve the labor relations climate through participation in continuous improvement (get suggestions, report problems, participate in team problem solving sessions)Coordinate trainings for production employee,Job training with STD work description, SOP and WISafety training, STOP. FLRA and all others safety programsResolve any conflict immediately and assure that behavior is in line with IKO values, ask for help if needed.Ensure proper documentation and complete reports (compliance, checklists, production reports, spreadsheets, metrics, incident investigations, etc)Evaluate employee performance monthly with coaching and support to achieve results.Communicate instruction clearly and effectively to eliminate all possibilities of misleadingIdentify training and development needs and personal growth opportunities for employeesEncourage employees to participate in all IKO activitiesContinually improve the operational efficiency of the plant by submitting ideas and solutionsActive member of the daily meetingEnsure a rigorous follow-up of all 5SReport to the people concerned (manager, superintendent colleague, etc.) any production or safety situations or concernMaintain constructive and respectful relationships with all staff.Communicate efficiently between all departmentsFor all breakdown or needed a plan repaired, make efficiently a service request to maintenance dept. as soon as possibleApprove time cards, vacations, and all other Kronos and Workday requirementsAll other duties as assignedQualifications:Post-secondary degree/diploma, preferably in industrial technology or engineering, business administration, or managementMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment, 3 of which must be in a supervisory roleStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with hands-on problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environmentStrong interpersonal skills and leadership ability in order to successfully manage a diverse group of employeesExcellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and analytical skillsProven track record of operational enhancement and improvements through employee engagement, demonstrated team building talentExcellent time management, planning, and organizational skillsProficient in MS OfficeKnowledge of KRONOS time and attendance system is an assetPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel (manual dexterity); and reach with hands and arms. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. Employee must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces. The employee must frequently lift and move items over fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time positionSubject to 24 hour on call dutiesAbility to work shift, weekend and overtime work requiredOpen availability (12 am to 12 pm, seven days per week)EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.Employees will be provided PPE to protect against all known hazards in the work place; compliance with usage is required.TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
