Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for Systems Engineers to join our Baltimore, MD Remote Sensing Program (RSP) Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) team. This position will support both concept and product development to deliver key solutions within the Northrop Grumman Corporation Space Systems Sector, Payload and Ground Systems Division and will report to the RSP SEIT Department.The position will be responsible for supporting systems engineering tasks for space subsystems, payloads and/or vehicles. These may include, but are not limited to:Requirements analysis, derivation, and managementArchitecture and CONOPs developmentSystems modeling and simulationFunctional analysisTimeline analysisTrade studiesTechnical planningCost and risk analysisInterface definitionSystem designSystem integration and testVerification and Validation planning and executionSupportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.Successful candidates should have a high degree of intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new ideas and concepts across the systems engineering lifecycle.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or other related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) curriculum.Experience in one or more of the following system engineering knowledge areas:Requirements analysis, derivation, and managementArchitecture and CONOPs developmentSystems modeling and simulationFunctional analysisTimeline analysisTrade studiesTechnical planningCost and risk analysisPower, digital, RF, and/or mechanical interface definitionSystem designSystem integrationVerification and Validation planning and executionSupportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.Active TS/SCI clearancePreferred Qualifications:Space Systems Engineering development and analysis from Concept and Technology Demonstration Phase through Integration, Test and Verification.Experience with EO/IR sensor technology.Experience with RF sensor technology.Experience with space ground stations.Experience with space payload and vehicle architecture.Translating Initial Capability Document needs into mission level requirements.Supporting requirement decomposition and documentation in DOORS database.Developing system state transitions diagrams, mission use cases, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, mission threads, and/or network node diagrams.Experience with space mission operations and modeling.Payload and Vehicle Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T), including environmental testing.Experience with system performance modeling in MATLAB environment, system modeling in Artisan, configuration management using ClearCase, ClearQuest.Experience with KPP/TPM identification, algorithm development, reliability engineering, fault management design, signal processing.Conducting test readiness reviews, FCA/PCA preparation, telemetry validation.Supporting initial operations test planning and execution.Salary Range: 63800 - 95800Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
