Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking highly qualified, mission oriented individuals to lead teams located in one of the following locations:Baltimore, MD (primary location)Dulles, VAFalls Church, VARedondo Beach, CAAurora, COColorado Springs, COThe Remote Sensing Programs Business Unit, Business Development & Strategy within the Payload & Ground Systems Division has openings for four (4) Managers for the following areas:Business Development Manager 3 (New Markets)The primary responsibility is to identify and penetrate adjacent and new markets for the business unit. Other responsibilities include:Lead the identification, qualification, and development of new business opportunities in adjacent and new marketsPerform market assessments, competitive analysis, and understand customer dynamics to optimize value proposition on capturesDevelop and nurture customer contacts in support of strategic goalsManage the business pipeline in salesforce to ensure accuracy and support business forecastsFor the Business Development Manager 3 only, the ability to travel 50% or more will be required. The Proposal and Capture Manager positions require the ability to travel 25%.Preferred Qualifications:Thorough knowledge of USG's budgeting processExperience with DoD's acquisition process.Strong customer domain knowledge related to US Government's Space & Ground, preferably with the Space Intelligence Community and DoDCapture Manager 3The primary responsibility is to lead teams in the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to capture new business, and implement best practices across the BU to produce compelling capture strategies. Other responsibilities includeDevelop and executes plans to capture new businessLead the development of capture strategy, competitive assessments, teaming strategies and agreements, price-to-win strategy, and the development of a compelling offer to do business.Works with functional organizations to allocate resources to execute the capture plan.Influence requirements that results in favorable Requests for Proposals (RFP) aligned with the BU's strategic imperatives.Preferred Qualifications:Certified on proposal or capture management from a recognized firm (like Shipley & Associates)Thorough knowledge of US Government's acquisition processSignificant experience developing and executing capture strategies to win greater than $100M new business with US DoD and/or US civil agenciesProposal Manager 3The primary responsibility is to lead teams in the development of winning proposals on strategic captures, and implement best practices across the BU to produce compelling winning proposals.
