Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group is proud to support a current mission of humanitarian aid agency in Washington, DC. If you are eager to provide support as a Refugee Support Project Team Lead - Quality Analysis personnel to displaced persons from Afghanistan in a 6-month contract opportunity, then this is ideal role for you!

Hours will be Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. Pay is $31.00 per hour.

Vaccination against COVID-19 is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a team that will be responsible for carrying out the processing, recording and sending of civil documentation to affiliate resettlement agencies for Afghan nationals that have recently become naturalized in the USA.
  • Closely coordinate with the Data Integrity Officer to produce daily reports that capture the individuals who are expected to have their civil documentation delivered to IOM and sent to the affiliate resettlement agency.
  • Flag cases that require follow up to the Project Officer and ensure case issue is resolved with lessons learned documented.
  • Undertake quality assurance checks of the database where the civil documentation would be recorded.
  • Compile, summarize and present data on the civil documentation cases that have been received.
  • In coordination with the Overall Site Manager and the Project Officer, liaise as needed with the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Provide training to staff members to ensure they are processing and recording as well as sending of the civil documentation according to established procedures.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Prior experience with refugee resettlement a strong advantage
  • Ability to use own initiative and work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Experience in operations, coordination, transportation and general administrative duties
  • Experience in liaising with national, regional and international institutions including UN agencies
  • Proven experience in drafting and preparing clear and concise correspondences
  • Experience working in an international organization an advantage
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word
