An Am Law 200 Firm is looking for an associate with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join the Health Law Practice in their Boston, New York or Washington, DC office. Responsibilities will include researching, analyzing, and advising on Medicaid and Medicare A, B, C, and/or D requirements as well as state and federal fraud and abuse laws (eg, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, the False Claims Act, similar state laws). Experience in one or more of these regulatory areas is required. The associate will also work with other attorneys on various aspects of transactions, including health care regulatory due diligence and analysis of transaction structures to assess compliance with health care regulatory requirements, and will draft/review contracts with health care regulatory implications. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to respond to client requests quickly, efficiently, and effectively are critical. Collaboration with team members is an important component of any role at this firm. Therefore, the firm encourages working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firm's published guidelines. Qualifications Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA accredited law school Admitted to or eligible for admission to the DC Bar Minimum of 4 years of experience working on matters in the health care industry Experience with FDA, DEA, and/or pharmacy regulatory matters is preferred but not required. Excellent written/verbal communication skills, as this position requires immediate partner and client contact A high level of professionalism in working and engaging with demanding clients Able to balance and prioritize multiple competing priorities and responsibilities, be highly organized and exercise extreme attention to detail Able to collaborate and work effectively in team settings Absent an exemption required by law, each employee is required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
