We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team: The entry-level Electrical Engineer will be part of a team supporting the design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of a variety of electrical power, control and automation, and critical systems. The engineering candidate must be a self-starter and willing to learn, able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be comfortable with the broad scope of cradle-to-grave design engineering. Typical duties that the entry level Electrical Engineer will be expected to perform will include power/controls circuit and schematic design, hands-on fabrication, software programming, research and development, and system integration. Minimum Requirements BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college US Citizenship 0-7 years experience Computer proficiency, especially operating systems and common software packages (MS Office, etc) Strong communications skills, both written and oral Willingness to learn Proficiency at self-management within a team environment Self-starter; able to work independently Comfortable with shop and hand tools Able to acquire a US security clearance Desirable Industrial, manufacturing, control systems, design, or facility engineering experience Understanding of single- and three-phase power systems Experience with industrial and/or network communications protocols General knowledge of control systems, including physical design and PLC/HMI programming AutoCAD experience Active US security clearance About EKFox Specialized Design Group: The Specialized Design Group was formed with the specific objective of addressing the more complex and specialized infrastructure requirements of a select group of confidential clientele which includes work of national interest. The Specialized Design Group works in close coordination with our clients to identify and resolve technical and operational challenges from inception, identification and definition to fabrication, integration, testing, implementation and continuing support for the life of the system. One day may be designing and troubleshooting satellite based command and control systems for OCONUS facilities and the next may be hands on testing of a specific COTS power system to determine its feasibility for a specific application.
