Accounting Manager We have an immediate need for an accounting manager for a non-profit organization in Northern Virginia. This individual will manage the general accounting and financial reporting operations of the organization. Duties & Responsibilities: Manages complex revenue and related grant accounting, tax reporting and other matters requiring in-depth knowledge and analysis. Manages 1 Senior Accountant. Strong understanding of GAAP, inclusive of endowment, restricted funds, gift annuity, split interest and 501(c)(3) grant-making accounting and requirements. Maintains schedules and supporting documentation for restricted contributions and assists with reporting available grant fund balances for appropriate divisions within the organization. Prepares form 990 and related state returns. Assists with preparation of year-end financial statements, notes and work papers for annual audits with external auditors. Assists with preparation of the Foundation's annual budget in coordination with management. Manages the Foundation's internal audit program for events and activities. Extensive interaction and collaboration with key departments, as well as members of the financial community.
