The Clarion Inn and FSK Event Center, a Cohenterprises owned and operated hotel, is hiring a General Manager to join its team of talented and diverse professionals. The Clarion Inn boasts the area's largest indoor event space, as well as 156 guest rooms that can accommodate large groups. The ideal candidate for this position is a dynamic leader whose focus is top-line revenue, as well as providing exceptional guest service.Responsibilities: Oversee the development of the annual budget and monthly and annual forecasts. Ensure the attainment of established hotel budgets.Provide leadership for hotel associates by communicating both verbally and in writing so as to provide clear direction. Demonstrate the company culture in all actions.Critically review occupancy and revenue reports and make judgments to implement changes that result in maximized profits.Formulate complex reports.Communicate with department heads, supervisors, corporate office, as well as hotel guests.Ensure that all operations of the hotel meet brand and company standards.Interview, hire, supervise, and counsel department heads, as well as provide communication and discipline.Participate in community affairs and provide a positive public image of Cohenterprises.Physically tour and inspect the hotel on a daily basis. Greet and maintain a rapport with associates and guests while doing so.Work with HR to handle issues relating to company policies and procedures.Travel to attend brand-related conferences and corporate meetings.Qualifications: 2+ yrs. of experience as a select service, franchised hotel GM, or 5+ years of experience as a franchised hotel AGM.
