Are you interested in range systems engineering and working in the field of testing strategic and hypersonic weapons systems?Do you enjoy solving challenging problems with a diverse team of engineers?If so, we are seeking a Range Systems Engineer to help us perform studies, performance assessments, and concept development for the range and instrumentation systems needed to assess a variety of strategic missile, reentry, and hypersonic weapons. As a member of the team, you will also provide onsite support to test events.As a Range Systems Engineer You will develop concepts of advanced range systems to support emerging hypersonic vehicle test programsYou will provide recurring systems engineering and instrumentation logistics support on site with our sponsorsYou will conduct pretest, on site coordination, and participate in developmental and operational missile tests, including range systems data collectionYou will perform verification, validation, and integration of new range systems (eg, navigation, GPS, acoustic, radar tracking, telemetry, optics, and meteorological)You will lead and contribute to analysis effortsYou will collaborate with cross-discipline teams to advise government and contractor partners on engineering challengesYou will produce reports and presentations to communicate results to team members and government partners.QualificationsYou meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you Have a BS in an engineering discipline or equivalent technical degree with at least 2 years relevant professional experienceHave knowledge of systems engineering, instrumentation systems, and logisticsHave strong computer and software background, including familiarization with PCs, Windows, MS Office, C++,Visual Basic, and PC-based engineering and drawing tools, including MatlabAre able to interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds including external industry, government, and military personnelAre willing and able to travel to attend meetings and tests at other government or contractor sites, including field operations aboard surface ships or submarines. Approximately six to eight trips per year from one to two weeks in duration, including field site test support and at sea deployment on surface vessels or submarines.Will be comfortable working in closed area facilitiesHave strong communications skills, both verbal and writtenHave initiative, interest in skill development and the flexibility to accept assignments of varied scope and skillHave an active final Secret Clearance and are able to obtain a Top Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
