EXPERIENCE IN THE VETERINARY FIELD PREFERRED BUT NOT NEEDEDThe Veterinary Assistant/Receiving Technician will work a rotating shift between the hours of 7am and 7pm Monday-Friday (4 days per week, 10 hours/day). This position heavily focuses on Client Service Representative duties, which include but are not limited to: Greet clients/patients in a friendly and courteous manner, check-in clients, triage phone calls, make appointments & collect payments. They also play a vital role in providing competent and compassionate basic care by assisting the Surgeons in appointments with their patients. Duties include: assisting in x-rays, bandage changes, suture/staple removal, and minor procedures; maintaining sanitary conditions for all patients, humane restraint of animals for all medical treatments and other tasks assigned by the Surgeons. Assistant/Receiving technicians may be required to work one weekend (Sat & Sun 8a-12p), scheduled every 6 weeks depending on the needs of the business. The Assistant/Receiving Technician provides support to the surgeons and all other employees as needed to ensure high quality patient and client care. Must be able to communicate clearly with teammates & clients. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Attention to detail and cleanliness. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing with individuals and small group situations to clients and other employees of the organization.Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems within the guidelines of the company's policy and basic patient care principles.
