Responsibilities The key functions of the Controlling Energy Marshall is a significant part of the construction and commissioning efforts, ensuring focus and compliance for all types of energy isolation. This is an assurance role that helps ensure the vendors and constractors' Energy Isolation Program meets and exceeds all standards and policies. Oversee all aspects of a complex electrical structures and construction project ensuring OSHA complianceEstablish and manages an Energy and Isolation Program that will be implemented throughout the projectParticipate in High Risk Activity (HRA) planning meetings associated with Energy Isolation. Ensures approval process for proposed Energy Isolation procedures is in placeWork with the Authorizing Energy Marshal to establish a permitting processEnsures all SoW's, MOPS, and Scripts are reviewed and all sources of energy are established. Determine if a group or individual LOTO will be requiredEnsures process is established that verifies qualifications, training, and PPE of personnel performing the work. Serves as an independent authority for stopping all unsafe work practices regarding Energy IsolationDrive continuous improvement across all construction projectsProvide review, and oversight, of construction Health & Safety management proceduresAttend safety department and management meetings, training workshops, and daily activity briefingsContinually encouraging, and promoting, Health & Safety initiatives aimed at influencing positive safety behavior on all projects. Qualifications 10+ years of solid Safety Management in Electrical Construction required or 15+ years working as a Master Electrician Supervisor on complex projectsAdvanced working knowledge of SPS-101 Energy Isolation guidelines Must have experience working a data center build, or similar environment Extensive experience in contractor communications, and liaising with design teams, and other project professionalsBachelor's degree in a safety related field preferred Electrician with a solid safety background is highly preferred Advanced experience with complex electrical structures required CSP (Certified Safety Professional) helpful First Aid CPR, AEDNFPA 70E Owner's Representative experience requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient computer skills Experience required in the following areas:Construction safetyElectrical Safety Safety oversight of complex electrical structuresContractor safety oversight Data Center Integrity | Compassion | Dependability | Support | Accountability At HazTek, We Stand Together for Safety HazTek Inc. is committed to building an environment of inclusion and acceptance that values diversity across all areas of the organization - an environment in which all employees have an opportunity to participate and contribute to the success of the business and are valued for their skills, experience, and unique perspectives.
