Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination Required Equal Opportunity Employer ZR SUMMARY Provide temporary coverage in the classroom teaching all academic subjects at the kindergarten through 12th grade level to a group of 9 - 12 students. Responsible for classroom behavior management including therapeutic interventions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Instruct students by lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations. Prepare course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school. Assigns lessons and corrects homework. Administers tests to evaluate pupil progress, records results, and issues reports to inform parents of progress. Maintains discipline in classroom by providing behavior management and therapeutic interventions. Meet with parents to discuss student progress and problems. Participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops. Maintain teacher licensure. Review goals and objectives of students. Assist with preparation of Education Plan and Individual Education Plan for students. Write progress and discharge notes. Review and update the EP/IEP at the end of each term. Participate in weekly team meetings and in the evaluation of treatment team members. Provide emergency coverage for sickness, vacations, and short and long-term absences and during times of special need. Knowledgeable of student's rights and ensures student's confidentiality. Provide an atmosphere of privacy, dignity, and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment. Participate in school activities outside regular hours, eg, teacher-parent conferences, forums, marketing events, and prom. Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma and a minimum of two years teaching experience or working with at risk youth CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. May require certification in First Aid, CPR and physical restraint training for long-term assignments.
