The right candidate for this position will join a growing, global and fast paced organization. The Manager of Training and Development will manage the programmatic elements of the association's training program including the flagship in-person training program which has been in existence for 55+ years (currently being held in 4 regions around the globe - North America East, North America West, Latin America, and Australia), custom learning projects, and the online learning program. This position will have budget responsibility; managing the expense and revenue budgets for each of the Institutes programs outlined below. Additionally, this position will manage GCCA's e/virtual learning platforms, talent/HR related committees, share groups and task Forces and industry talent recognition programs and awards. In-Person Training Program Management Lead manager of the North American WFLO Institute in-person training programs held twice annually (primary industry training event of the year for approximately 600+ participants in aggregate across the East and West locations). Collaborate cross functionally to manage, coordinate and assist in all meeting planning, marketing, logistics, educational content, faculty, etc. Regularly review the educational content of the WFLO Institute and implement continuous improvements of the training program to include evaluations of the learning objectives, delivery methods, adult education delivery methods, training of trainers, training evaluation, course outcomes, etc. Drive the expansion of additional tracks to meet transportation and construction educational needs, as well as executive leadership training opportunities. This includes working with members to identify goals for each track, identifying and developing a list of courses, and organizing speakers. Provide support to the global Institute programs in Australia and Latin American to ensure consistency in content and quality across programs. Collaborate w. global membership and business development teams on global expansion opportunities. WFLO Graduate Institute/Global Cold Chain Expo Conference Training Work with in-person Institute instructors, facilitators and student advocates on their classroom engagement techniques Manage student workbook & textbook updates Online Learning Program Management Develop new, industry-specific courses in partnership with members, association sponsors (in collaboration with the business development team), and online learning designers as needed using virtual platforms. Maintain existing online learning courses to ensure they remain relevant Manage content and delivery of monthly association webinars Serve as lead liaison for learning vendors and lead relevant staff training in those areas. Volunteer Management Serve as the staff liaison to the Training and Talent Development Committee, HR Talent Share Group and support other committees/task forces as needed on talent/training related initiatives and projects. Develop the agenda for quarterly meetings and facilitate those quarterly meetings Engage, leverage, liaison and manage committee members for association projects relevant to the work of this role throughout the year. Industry Recognition Programs and Awards Direct management of annual talent recognition awards including the Don Schlimme and global future leader awards Work cross functionally with global regional directors and communications/marketing team to manage, plan, coordinate successful nomination, judging and winner promotional processes in a streamlined and standardized fashion. Custom Learning Project Management Promotes the use of association resources to HR Leaders and encourages them to consider outsourcing their learning program design to the association, where applicable.
