Description:Job Title: Forklift OperatorDepartment: Warehouse- DaysLocation: FoodPRO (Frederick, MD)Reports To: Warehouse ManagerPay: $15-16/hrHours: 1st shift & 2nd shift availableSummary:The forklift operator is responsible for managing product movement and organization in the warehouse. The forklift operator's duties include sorting and stocking shelves throughout the warehouse; rotating product; assisting fellow associates as needed throughout the warehouse; and maintaining a clean work area throughout the day.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Stock slots and shelvesControl and maintain inventory and prevent damagesEnsure the product is rotated correctly and stocked in the correct slotHelp receiver's unload and breakdown productAssist in maintaining the facility to provide a clean, safe work environmentOther duties as assigned. Requirements:Essential Qualifications:Forklift experienceAbility to work with minimal supervisionStrong and safe work ethicAbility to understand and follow directionsStrong work skills and detail for task performingApplicable candidates must pass pre-employment drug screeningPrior experience in a warehouseDesired Qualifications:Electric Pallet Jack or Rider experienceForklift Certified (or ability to become certified)Pallet Jack Certified (or ability to become certified)Education:High school degree or GEDPhysical Qualifications:Must be able to lift up to 60 poundsMust be able to squat, bend, and twistMust be able to keep up with a fast-paced environmentEnvironment Details:Freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environment temperatures varying from 0-35 degreesHours:1st Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm or when receiving for the day is finished2nd Shift: Sunday- Thursday; 4pm~12:00am
