Field Service Engineer
Orion Talent, the nation's largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for Field Service Engineer positions with a provider of automated environmental monitoring to a limitless number of applications in a wide range of industries. Position Details Location: Bethesda, MD (NIH account) as well as MD area for a traditional Field Service role covering multiple regional accounts. Compensation: Depending on your level of experience and location, the base will range from $50,000 to $55,000. All positions will be eligible for bonus. Laptops and cell phones are supplied along with any tools needed. Mileage reimbursement is also paid out for field travel including local work. Travel Requirements: The current roles for the NIH account will not involve travel, your sole client will be the NIH. Certainly, opportunities to support other accounts locally may come up in the future. The Regional Field Service role in MD will be daily trips but normally not many overnight. Training: These roles involve very cutting-edge technology in both electronics and network administration. They also involve a solid understanding of this very clinically technical field, the businesses and basic customer service fundamentals. Based on this, our client provides solid initial training including OTJ training in the field, specific IT and networking training, virtual classes on company products and extensive online resources to learn its systems. Position Description As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, and repairing electronic equipment in the field. You will be dealing extensively with computer networking- one of the keys to success for the company is being able to tie its sensors/monitors into the cloud via networking so managers worldwide can have immediate access to the metrics. You will be building strong relationships with the clients and continuing to innovate new ways to improve on its core business. Initially you will work with teams of senior Service Engineers, learning under them and slowly building in your responsibilities and level of autonomy until you have complete ownership over your territory. You will deal with clients including pharmaceutical managers, Military Installations, R&D managers, and many other niches. Position Requirements A cents € cents Strong electronics skills.
