Awake Overnight Positions Supporting Autistic Children and Adults (FT/PT)$15.34 an hour (8 hours shifts)Paid trainingFull time (30-40 hours) and Part time (15-25 hours) positions available!PPE providedChildren and adults with autism need help now! CSS is seeking dedicated, caring employees to provide awake overnight direct support and supervision to individuals with autism in Montgomery County. Care to individuals with autism is provided individually in residential settings with less than four other people. Individuals receiving support need assistance to learn how to complete personal care and prepare for their day. Many have limited communication skills and engage in challenging behavior. Direct support professionals working overnight will work closely with nurses and psychologists to implement plans to teach individuals more independence and safe ways to achieve their goals.Available Shifts:Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 12am-8amThe Awake Overnight Counselor is responsible to the participants in the residential program for assisting in the provision of a safe and warm home-like environment.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Support participants in the daily care of the home including housekeeping, maintenance and meal preparation.Implement the evening/sleep schedules and plans.Assist in planning for adequate supplies of food and household goods for the provision of nutritious meals and effective maintenance of the home.Perform daily duties in coordination with Residential Instructional Associate to facilitate effective program implementation.Perform any duties as assigned by the Community Support Coordinator.Adhere to agency Policies and Procedures, federal, state and local regulations and applicable standards promulgated by the Accreditation Council.The Awake Overnight Counselor reports directly to the Community Support Coordinator.COVID-19 considerations: To keep all employees and the individuals supported safe, PPE and training on the use of PPE is provided following CDC guidelines. Additional cleaning completed throughout the day to protect all against COVID-19.COVID-19 Vaccination RequiredREQUIRED TRAINING/PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONSCompletion and demonstration of techniques taught in the MANDT, CPR & First Aid training's, other training's as required by CSS which are provided in orientation.Successfully complete annual re-certification of the MANDT.Recommended to have a valid driver's license and a driving record free of any moving violations for the past two (2) years.CSS is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable organization which provides services and support to children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities residing within Montgomery County, Maryland. CSS was founded in 1994 and began its mission by working collaboratively with individuals, families, and other lead agencies to design and implement new models of service. CSS provides residential services in 50 homes in upper Montgomery County, where two individuals reside in each home with one or two support staff providing care and supervision .
