Position Description As a?Service Product Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the in-house repair facility and conducting repairs on instruments to support the depot facility in Columbia, MD as well as supporting North American Service Operations, Field Service, Sales, Customer Service, and Product Management.?Responsibilities will include: A cents € cents Perform in-house repairs, upgrades, and maintenance of AutoChem instrumentation, to include infrared reaction profiling equipment, laser crystallization monitoring equipment, automated lab reactor systems, proprietary software, and associated applications. A cents € cents Deliver exceptional customer service, expertise, and support to internal and external customers. A cents € cents Provide field service support and expertise to AutoChem field service personnel on assigned equipment throughout the products lifecycle.? A cents € cents Communicate, document, and manage instrumentation issues with the Sales, TAC, Product Management, Service, and Quality departments as required on a routine basis. A cents € cents Independently and as part of a team, manage hardware and software projects. A cents € cents Prioritize, schedule, and track open service issues to resolution. A cents € cents Feedback non-conformance issues for quality enhancements and technical bulletins. A cents € cents Software and hardware literacy and proficiency of Windows-based and embedded operating systems. A cents € cents Document and report scheduling, utilization, and escalation as required in a timely manner. A cents € cents Project a professional appearance and demeanor. Position Requirements A cents € cents Minimum 4 years military or commercial experience or equivalent education in electronic/electrical engineering environment with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronic, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A cents € cents Demonstrated competence and abilities to complete daily tasks associated with field service responsibilities. A cents € cents Documented abilities to troubleshoot electronic, electrical, mechanical instruments, and computer systems. A cents € cents Valid driver's license. A cents € cents Ability and willingness to travel for training or to serve as a back-up service engineer in the field, if necessary.
