JOB SUMMARYThe Sector Director | US Federal Government ("Sector Director") is a highly visible executive role that includes executive ownership of the design, development, compliance, and execution of a high-growth business serving the US Federal Government. This national leader is responsible for creating a sector strategy, and ensuring the operational excellence, client satisfaction and evergreen expansion of CBRE's partnership with the US Federal Government and strategically associated institutions. Success in the role mandates pre-existing sector relationships, strategic team and business building experience. The position will work with direct and matrixed resources throughout CBRE and our affiliated companies and will directly align under CBRE's global Infrastructure & Public Enterprise sector.The role includes the authority and accountability to create and execute on near-and-long-term objectives for CBRE and the US Federal Government. This includes aligning existing CBRE business operations with emerging sector growth trends as well as organic and inorganic growth opportunities. Key focus areas include prioritized sector expansion and profitable development, strategy execution, team building, solution marketing/influencing, client satisfaction, delivering financial performance, and optimizing talent.The Sector Director develops and maintains strong, strategic, trusted relationships with existing and proposed high-potential clients across Federal departments, agencies, and institutions, expanding CBRE's position as a best-in-class provider in the following areas: Project and Facility Management, Energy, Portfolio Optimization and Workplace, Financing, Transactions and Technology. Position includes responsibility for the selection, development and retention of top-tier Account Management (ie Alliance Director) and Sales and Solutions talent each of whom is ultimately accountable to execute against CBRE's strategic, financial and operational goals within the Sector. The Sector Director will have peers in the broader Infrastructure & Public Enterprise sector. The position scope may be expanded to include a focus on US State & Local as part of a focus on Federal infrastructure priorities as funding and opportunities emerge within the State and Local environments.The Sector Director directly influences the growth of CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) through concentrated engagement and skilled leadership in the pursuit of new business, critical schedule and contract establishment, contract renewals, service expansions, transition management, talent enablement, and efficient and cost-effective service delivery models. In parallel, the Sector Director will develop existing and proposed external delivery partners - including strategic pursuits of Acquisition, Joint Venture, or Global Partnership Agreements.The Sector Director will regularly engage with other Sector Directors, CBRE service line leaders and global practice areas. Using business intelligence, they will anticipate business disruptions and identify trends while increasing overall account performance. Through the utilization of best practices and process optimization, the Sector Director will drive efficiencies and effectiveness in every part of the account management value chain.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, implement, and monitor short and long-range business plans and budgets to meet revenue and earnings targets, including stretch financial goals. Develop, implement, and monitor a pipeline of Federal activities, relationships, proposals and work underway. Lead Sector Alliance Director(s), ensuring strong and consistent service delivery, client experience, employee engagement and compliance to CBRE and US Federal Government standards and requirements. Maintain a high and measurable degree of client satisfaction. Ensure Dark Green target plans are in place and drive improvement by supporting and working synergistically with the Account Alliance Directors. Actively build successful network relationships with key industry and trade associations, vendors, and professional organizations, elevating CBRE positioning for future opportunities, talent pipeline and acquisition targets. Facilitate and deploy a key leadership development and succession plan, ensuring the talent bench is readied and maintained. Enable strategic talent development, emphasizing Diversity Equity & Inclusion candidates for development and promotion, continuously elevating the individual and group capabilities on accounts. Build and maintain a successful pipeline of sector-specific recruiting, partnership, acquisition, or joint-venture opportunities leading to expanded business opportunities. Work with all accounts to renew expiring contracts and organically grow scope of services. Embrace CBRE's safety agenda, exhibiting care for the safety of each account employee. Successfully partner and engage with all CBRE global practice areas in the pursuit of excellence and account success. Champion CBRE's cultural values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence. Support new account startups as well as major transformation and growth initiatives. Drive year over year growth using positive leverage. Leverage GWS platform and delivery excellence resources, tools, and solutions to support account performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with local CBRE leadership teams in key markets within the Sector Director's geographic areas of responsibility. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Prior Senior leadership role in public sector procurement requiredBachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university; post-graduate education a plus15+ years of strategic business leadership in similar organizationsDemonstrated success in leading large teams and growing businessesStrong focus on compliance to operate effectively in a matrixed environmentAbility to drive clarity and outcomes in ambiguous settingsFinancial acumen - including budgeting and forecasting PDN-94e6e315-be8d-4cdd-b38e-8b6100c5f351
