Every day, our 22,000 employees do the cant be done, solving the most daunting challenges facing our customers.ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer (CSE) to lead, direct, and support Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) efforts for a multi-project, multi-segmented program. The candidate will provide technical support, consultation, and mentorship to accomplished engineers on the program.The CSE will serve as the primary point of contact for systems engineering support across the program. This position requires an understanding of the intelligence community, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission closure.The CSE will provide additional technical support including: assessing enterprise, system and function-level requirements, enterprise and system CONOPs, architecture products, system schedules, system and enterprise resiliency, and risks. In addition, supporting test and verification strategy and the system integration of new initiatives in support of expanded mission capabilities is required.The selected candidate will have the aptitude to assess processes and create efficiencies across project teams. Due to the broad nature of the team workload, the selected candidate will ideally have knowledge of the IC mission domain and space system capabilities, including general knowledge of telecommunications systems, specifically in the landline, mobile, and satellite communications domains.The candidate will interact with the client's Technical Director, Chief of Staff, and client leadership to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges. The candidate will also support strategic planning for future capability acquisition and insertion into the enterprise baseline.QualificationsRequires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.Possess an active and current TS/SCI security clearance.Understanding of, and ability to apply System Engineering methods and process.Experience in requirements engineering, CONOPS development, verification, test and system integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering in support of customer's missions.Demonstrated technical leadership integrating engineering teams.Experience with Systems Engineering and all related functional disciplines.Knowledge of assessing mission technical capabilities and system performance.Experience with Mission Planning and Control.Experience identifying user & enterprise needs/requirements and gap identification, analysis and assessment.Experience developing and conducting briefings for senior level customer stakeholders.Experience with complex systems engineering efforts, methods, and processes.Proven adaptability and experience with daily interaction on-site with the government customers.Good oral and written communication skills; MS Office proficient.
