We perform this craft using unique technical and intellectual capabilities that link to an enterprise of other intelligence professionals at the Federal, state, local and international levels.GDIT is seeking a System Administrator to join our team.Contract requires US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI and Security+ certification.Some telecommuting is allowed but candidate must be local to the office.Troubleshoots system and software specific issues.Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.Windows Server Administration - knowledge of Windows Server Architecture, Installation, Services settings and configuration, and security patching.Experience in Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) Patching.Monitor Active Directory and system health.Perform vulnerability remediation and security hardening functionsPerform patch management using Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.Administers Users, Group and Computer objects and create Group Policy using Group Policy Management Console.Conducts hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established.Perform ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of servers and COTS applications to ensure their ongoing availability, stability, and compliance with standards and security requirements.Applies practical knowledge of job areas typically obtained through advanced education and work experienceMay evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies.Respond to and resolve trouble tickets.Handle escalated requests from Service Desk and assist accordingly.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Managing Windows Servers ExperienceMicrosoft Systems Troubleshooting (Windows 10, Server 2016, Office 2016)AWS ExperiencePowerShell ScriptingDatabase Experience desired but not required#GDITPriorityThis position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 18, 2022 or the start date, if after January 18.
