In this role you'll be executing projects for the site to ensure compliance to the GSK Global Engineering Standards, reviewing and approving all change controls for Engineering/EHS compliance. You'll also be managing programs and maturity model progression for GSK duty holder programs (Machinery Safety, Process Safety, Electrical Safety, etc.) and managing the execution of compliance activities for the current large capital project, 2x10k (WBS #7329US-IM-16004-120), as well as other future capital projects. Key Responsibilities: Interpret GSK engineering standards, generate mitigation/action plans required for compliance to the standards, and coordinate the execution of these mitigation/action plans with the engineering team. Coordinate and facilitate deployment of the Process Safety Management program to achieve improved identification, assessment, and management of process safety hazards. Ability to identify any potential or actual adverse process safety hazards and develop appropriate risk management strategies. Lead, manage, and facilitate the completion of process hazard identification and risk assessments (PHIRA) for the facility, eg HAZOP, FMEA) and manage Hazardous Area Classification assessments and compliance. Plan mitigation of process safety risks and manage projects to implement mitigation plans. Ensure that process safety related documentation for all identified hazards are developed and maintained. Creation & delivery of process safety training packages, including legal code requirements, to equip the site with the internal expertise needed to manage process safety performance in a sustainable manner. Auditing of the process safety management program. Act as site point of contact for all process safety related matters. Providing day-to-day advice & guidance on process safety issues. Liaising with above site process safety center of excellence and external regulators. Communication of group alerts/shared learnings/legislative updates relevant to process safety management Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: BS degree in engineering Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Related job experience in Mechanical or Chemical engineering environment. Demonstrated project management expertise Broad knowledge of the engineering professional environment and associated disciplines /skills. Strong planning and program management skills Effective organization, communication, presentation and influencing skills Certifications or related job experience in Process Safety or Machinery Safety is preferred.
