This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data engineering, data querying and wrangling, to data visualization and dashboarding, to predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence as well as robotic process automation (RPA). Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness. Our consultants focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development.Job Description/Responsibilities:Operate in a cloud environment and assess environment specifications and requirements for big dataDevelop, maintain, and test infrastructures for data generation to transform data into a format that can be easily analyzed to drive key business decisionsPartner with data scientists/analysts and cross-functional teams to discover, collect, cleanse, and refine the data needed for analysis and modelingDevelop, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipeline architectures and tools aligned with business requirementsManage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) functionsMaintain data lakesPerform complex data queriesUtilize best practices for and identify ways to improve data management, reliability, efficiency, and qualityRemove roadblocks to development through collaboration, communication, and creative solutionsDrive development best practices and continuous integration and delivery in an Agile frameworkQualificationsRequired:Minimum Security Clearance: US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearanceB.S./BA in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other quantitative and computational discipline3+ years of relevant professional experienceSpark programming in PySpark or ScalaProficiency in SQLFirm understanding of Data Warehousing conceptsConstructing, developing, and utilizing data pipelines / ETLStrong understanding relational databases, columnar data warehouses, and data modelingInstrumenting basic automation and CI/CDDesigning and building distributed systems for scalability and securityData engineering to enable data science and machine learningFamiliarity with cloud-based services (AWS) and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)Understanding of Agile development methodologiesPreferred:M.S./MA in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other quantitative and computational discipline5+ years of relevant experienceDeveloping data pipelines / ETLs and performing data engineering using SparkUtilizing Big Data platforms such as DatabricksCloud data movement such as KafkaCloud services including data storage, serverless computation, data movement, identity managementDatabases such as Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, Sql Server or PostgresTuning performance for large data projects in big data or relational installationsMicro services architecture and API gatewaysSupporting clients: identifying and addressing needs, building relationships, driving solutions forwardSupporting business development including RFP/RFQ/RFI responsesKnowledge of National Security or Defense sectorsAdditional RequirementsThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.This position is open to candidates virtually from Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, Hawaii or Eastern, Pacific, and Central time zones.Due to our contractual requirements and federal orders, including an Executive Order from the White House and an emergency regulation from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the position for which you are applying requires that you provide proof of your vaccination status.
