Cisco Network Engineer - Active Secret Clearance
Travel Required: Less than 10%Requisition Type: RegularSeeking a CISCO Network Engineer to join our team.Must be a US Citizen with an active security clearance.Required ExperienceThis is a position for an experienced network engineer with 5+ years of Cisco based experience that will include routing and switching.Will be responsible for ensuring network systems are up to Department of Defense (DoD) security standards; this will require proven experience with Security and Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG) implementation as well as working with local Information Assurance team for full systems accreditation.Light travel will be required to install and troubleshoot systems mainly within the contiguous US.Position description:Evaluates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, and performs problem isolation and resolution; and monitors, tunes, sets standards and maintains a range of computer network components and systems.Performs these functions across some, but not all, physical media, protocol stacks, switches, routers, bridges, gateways, and network management components in data, voice, and video environments.Provides client consulting and training on the interface and use of the network facilities.Begins to plan research; evaluate and recommend new computer network equipment; and utilize new technologies.Uses monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems; gauge network performance; and trace data and protocol activity.Devises solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.May develop and execute contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages.Requested Experience/Certifications - Active CCNA - may substitute experience DoD IAT II CertificationBachelors degree preferred with 8 years of experience.#GDITPriorityThis position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 18, 2022 or the start date, if after January 18.
