This position requires weekday availability three days per week, plus one weekend per month.As a caregiver on our team, you will provide one-on-one assistance to seniors in the comfort of their own homes to ensure they are living the most positive and purposeful lives possible. This role will allow you to connect with a senior client on a personal level and make a positive impact on their day-to-day health and well-being.CNA/HHA/GNA Benefits:Competitive PayPaid Time Off (PTO)Continuing Education PlanPaid Training and In-servicesComfort Keeper Paid Referral ProgramDirect DepositHoliday Premium PayCNA/HHA/GNA Responsibilities:Establish open communication and develop friendly relationships with the senior client and their family membersHelp the senior client with daily tasks such as light housekeeping and organizationProvide laundry and linen service to include washing, ironing and folding clothesAccompany the senior client to the grocery store, doctor appointments and pharmacy visitsPrepare and serve meals and/or snacksProvide grooming and dressing guidanceMay remind client of medicationsOrganize transportation, ambulation, and transfersInspire a positive, can-do attitude when it comes to daily tasks, appointments, and hobbiesMaintain a trusting and comforting environment in the homeRecord and report changes in the client's physical condition, behavior or appearanceDocument services delivered in accordance with agency policies and proceduresCNA/HHA/GNA Qualifications:Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) license or at least 2 years of professional caregiving experienceMinimum high school diploma or GED requiredExcellent business and personal referencesValid driver's license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation for potential client errands and appointment trips as neededGenuinely concerned about helping peopleHigh morale standards of honesty and integritySatisfactorily complete Comfort Keepers training and orientation programCurrent CPR and First Aid certificationLifting only up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be requiredApplicant must be bondable and pass the minimum qualifications for each of the following background checks: Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Driving Record, Credit History and business and personal references and give permission to submit to random drug and alcohol testing.May provide any additional duties that the Caregiver has been trained in and is determined to be competent in, as long as those duties fall within the Maryland licensing regulations for Personal Assistance Services.
