POSITION DESCRIPTION: Full-time professional exempt staff position with full benefits.  The Coordinator for Student Personnel & Training has significant responsibilities for recruiting, hiring, administration, ongoing support for the department's nearly 900 student employees, and assisting with the student development program. Specific responsibilities include organizing welcome community events for all student employees prior to the start of the fall & spring semesters, coordinating fall and spring pre-semester training schedules for all new and returning student employees, managing all departmental student employee training programs for new and returning staff, and student leaders, conducting initial screening interviews of applicants being considered for all RecWell student positions, delivering new employee orientation sessions regarding departmental expectations, customer service, and conflict management for all new student employees. Some evening and weekend work is required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have, at a minimum: a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience working in a human resources position or related with responsibility for training and development, strong communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Master's degree or a combination of education and experience totaling 4 or more years, experience with strong training and development experience with a diverse range of participants in a university setting, demonstrated ability to be collaborative with various stakeholders, experience leading project teams of people they do not directly supervise, current American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Instructor Certification, and experience conducting workplace safety, and/or customer service training and leadership development.

START DATE: May 1, 2022, preferred.

SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience, the range is $58,000-$63,000.
