You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. I have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below based on the grade level required of the position being filled: 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
AND In addition to the competencies:
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Provide technical life cycle software guidance to contractors to resolve software and database management issues; 2) Perform testing efforts for new/existing embedded software releases; 3) Develop and design testing conditions to meet program requirements; AND 4) Prepare test reports for results and analysis.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02.

Education

- Plan final software build prior to deployment to operational sites.
- Coordinate the software development and integration to ensure root causes are identified.
- Evaluates contractor proposals for software support.
- Observe progress and evaluate software performance.
- Plan and test efforts for new/existing embedded software releases received from the Software Engineering team.
- Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
- Executes and analyzes automation test results.
- Furnishes expert technical advice and recommendations on major problem areas in assigned fields of specialization.
- Develops, coordinates, and promotes interagency cooperative efforts in the management, utilization, and operation of data processing and data communication resources.
- Interacts with product management, project management, and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives.
