Duties

Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual vocational services program data reporting

Prepares reports and submits to various administrative levels

Monitors captured workload, Veteran attendance, Veteran payroll, supply requests and appointment scheduling

Reviews and verifies reports for accuracy and timeliness of data prior to submission to section chief and program manager

Extracts, and consolidates data from reports to create summary reports

Completes correspondence and documents daily for Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) operations

Schedules initial interview appointments

Performs property management duties such as maintenance of records, periodic inventories, disposals of excess property

Coordinates payroll timecards ensuring supervisory submit on time for payroll preparation

Manages promotional materials, business correspondence, and shipping documents

Provides technological support to Vocational Rehabilitation Services Program such as collection, collation, and maintenance of all data required to meet accreditation standards

Provides guidance to others in the utilization of changing computer technology

Provides guidance to Fiscal Service for matters directly related to payroll and procurement

Evaluates and reviews spreadsheets and compares them to client attendance and billing for attendance

Prepares statistical records for Fiscal Service, balancing two control point budgets, and rectifying charge card accounts

Serves as the Government Purchase Cardholder supporting the procurement needs and expenses of vocational rehabilitation services

Submits new contract requirements in the Electronic Contract Management System (eCMS) planning module and works with the Program Manager to prepare documentation needed for submission in FORCE

Assists Program Manager with acquisition planning, market research defining government requirements, proposal evaluation, contract negotiation, effective inspection & acceptance, contract quality assurance & evaluation and closeout procedures

Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/02/2021.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: GS-6 level Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience:
  • GS-6: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Qualifying specialized experience for this position is documented experience working in a medical setting performing the following duties: scheduling appointments; collecting, compiling, and tracking of data and statistical information; preparing administrative and professional memoranda, forms and correspondence; and performing timekeeping duties. (This experience must be supported within you resume to be creditable)
  • GS-7: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-6 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: applying knowledge of reporting data in regard to procedures, clinic utilization, scheduling, missed opportunity rates, stop codes, and clinic building; compiling and presenting statistics in preparation for presentation; extracting information from various sources when this requires considering the applicability of information and the characteristics and quality of the sources; coordinating curriculum, dates, scheduling, organize clinical staffs in response to schedule fluctuations and absence; collecting data related to incoming and outgoing data measures; prioritizing workload depending upon the independent analysis of the subject, phase, or issues involved in each assignment; operating systems, programs, or Equipment related to data processing including hardware; and utilizing standard computer and communications competencies to navigate typical correspondence programs including Word, Excel, and comparable internal database for internal and external communication. (This experience must be supported by your resume to be creditable.)

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: Light lifting (under 15 lbs.); light carrying (under 15 lbs.); reaching above shoulder; use of fingers; walking (intermittent); standing (intermittent); hearing (aid permitted); clear speech. The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items like papers or books. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
