Masonry Design, Inc. is looking for an Account Payable and Receivable Specialist to complete our office team. Full Time Salary & Benefits Commensurate Upon Experience Responsibilities Match purchase orders to invoice computer entries Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports and balances Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase order, contract invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos, issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments. Maintain account ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements Provide accurate and effective documentation preparation and records management relative to the AP/AR function in accordance with records retention policies and procedures Answer phones in a professional manner providing answers when possible and transferring calls or taking messages when needed Prepare and review billing invoices for assigned projects Submit and track approved invoices and ensure accuracy Maintain records of customer payments, receipts, and resolve discrepancies Reconcile payment adjustments to QuickBooks Requirements QuickBooks experience required High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical support preferred 1-3 years' AP/AR preferred Excellent math skills Proficiency in MS Office (ie Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality Excellent data entry skills Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills Effective organizational, stress and time management skills Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently or as a team member Self-motivating Multitasker References required at interview.
