Contracts - Administrator
Contract Administrator REMOTE (Fairfax VA) MUST: Experienced Contract Administrator 5-8 years experience working for a Federal Government contractor. Knowledge of the FAR and DFAR application, Government contracting. Experience reviewing solicitations and preparing responses for proposals, bids, and contract modifications. Experience analyzing contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business unit procedures. Experience with Drafts and negotiates contractual instruments commensurate with skills and grade level. Experienced in preparing and organizing and maintaining contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance. Experience with high volume and fast paced environment Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to deal effectively with customer, prime contractor contracting issues of varying degrees of complexity in order to work issues to resolution. Proficiency in use of MS Office Suite, in particular MS Word and Excel BS degree required. DUTIES: Work in the Civilian Business Division Performs contract negotiation, analysis, and administration; proposal preparation; and customer contact related to contract acquisition and fulfillment. Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with Company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. Monitors company performance for conformance to original proposal and maintains continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that the contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations. Prepares and disseminates information throughout the company regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination.
