NTCA - The Rural Broadband Association is looking for a Business Operations Analyst to join our Information Technology group. This position will report to the Data and Business Operations Manager. You will have the opportunity to develop business requirements for new business solutions and enhancements to current processes and systems, design and document workflow and provide solutions to new business unit ideas, and provide key assistance on all business applications, new initiatives and their implementation. This role can be located in our Arlington, VA or Asheville, NC office. What will you do? 1. Proactively collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information and system needs and business/functional requirements. Work closely with business partners, users and subject matter experts to define, test and implement new processing systems and support current business applications. 2. Solicit business requirements from users through interviews, workshops and existing systems documentation and procedures. Able to translate user requirements into business requirements, functional specifications and data applications. Create process maps, business rules, and acceptance test plans. 3. Provide and present to management staff analysis of workflows and procedures. Develop recommendations for revisions to processes or procedures. Create documentation to include reference manuals, data application, user guides and data layout design. 4. Passionate about understanding and improving business operations across diverse workstreams. Highly curious, think outside of the box, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator who responds well in a fast-paced environment. 5. Work closely with business partners in implementation of new initiatives to include, but not limited to, testing, documenting, and training. 6. Develop and provide business intelligence support for queries, reports, mailing lists, exports and data analysis. Primary technical support of business applications in setting standards and policies, configurations, integrations, upgrades and customizations. Collaborates with IT developers for advice, recommendations and technical requests. 7. Experience in Project management from developing a project plan, managing/delegating tasks, acting with urgency, knowing when to escalate issues, providing concise status reports to a successful implementation, on time and within budget. 8. Keep abreast of the latest trends and industry advances and evaluates integration to the organization's technology. 9. Communicate, coordinate, and cooperate with internal staff, NTCA members, and vendors in a clear, concise, thorough, and timely manner. Display strong interpersonal skills. 10. Perform other special duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have the following position requirements: Ability to learn a variety of business processes for support Ability to develop and support a variety of reporting solutions Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information Advanced skills in MS Office Suite Advanced skills in relational database concepts Project management experience Strong analytical required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into business requirements. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers and internal and external vendor partners. Practical knowledge, skills, and abilities usually acquired through an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 4 -6 years of related work experience. Experience with PMO software(s), SQL and HTML is a plus Why work for us?
