McCarthy & Akers is eagerly looking for an experienced paralegal to come join our team based in Winchester, Virginia. An ideal candidate should have several years of professional experience in the areas of law surrounding wills/trusts and real estate (3-5 years minimum). An ideal candidate should also possess the ability to coordinate activities among other less experienced legal staff, and be able to coach and mentor them to succeed within our company. Key responsibilities of the position are as follows: Providing administrative assistance to attorneys and legal staff in the law office. Taking point on coordinating legal matters among our legal staff, and taking ownership of coaching and training them. Collaborating with attorneys and management to ensure client satisfaction and to address operational concerns in a timely manner. Managing schedules, including trial dates and hearings. Preparing legal correspondence and pleadings. Maintaining legal management systems (experience with CLIO is a plus). Conducting research for report preparation. Training legal support staff in the use of all office systems, including case management system, and filing protocols. Ensuring that all necessary information is shared between clients and attorneys on various files. We look forward to hearing from you and discussing your interest in joining our team!
