Rothwell, Figg, Ernst & Manbeck, PC, a premier intellectual property law firm, seeks a Litigation Paralegal, who must be able to handle all aspects of complex litigations, from pre-litigation phase, through trial and appeal. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Organizing and maintaining case files and databases on a daily basis; Maintaining case dockets and advising attorneys of due dates; Organizing and coordinating document retrieval and review projects; Performing basic legal and factual research; Assisting in the preparation of pleadings, exhibits, written discovery and production documents for motions, discovery, hearings and trials; Cite checking and proofreading pleadings and other documents; and Maintaining up-to-date time reports to ensure accurate client billing. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of litigation experience; Strong organizational and analytical skills; Ability to set priorities and multi-task; Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills; Knowledge of federal court rules and procedures, litigation terminology and documentation, and docketing procedures; Computer proficient, with experience and working knowledge of Lexis, Westlaw and other litigation-research databases; Familiarity with case management software, E-Discovery, and Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) procedures is required; IP litigation, PTAB and/or ITC experience; and Ability to work overtime and some travel may be required.
