We're seeking a senior-level test engineer to join a team of experienced professionals in the development and testing of advanced software applications. Responsibilities/Duties: Work independently and able to work with Business Analysts and developers to review software design and requirements documentation to understand the application functionality. Conduct test plans, test case scripting, peer reviews, and test summary reports to ensure a successfully tested release. Conduct manual/ functional testing and automated test and performance test scripts using Selenium or Rational tools, Performance and Functional Tester. Test key functionality, setup and verify data, and report test results to the manager. Interact with clients on a daily basis during testing phases to ensure that release testing defects are communicated to the client and/or support UAT. Experience/Qualifications: 6+ years of relevant experience as a Software Test Engineer, 4+ years of experience with automation and/or performance testing experience, with special focus on Java Scripting advanced scripts (Selenium, RPT, Jmeter preferred) 2+ years of experience with Web services testing experience including SoapUI Experience testing in an Agile development environment Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr to develop/execute functional and regression test scripts Experience using JIRA for Requirements Traceability and other out-of-the-box reports Experience using JIRA to manage defects discovered during testing Experience performing Section 508 testing including JAWS, SortSite, and Dragon Experience with writing SQL statements to acquire and verify test data Experience working with the client during User acceptance test sessions Experience developing Level of effort estimates, test plans, test case scripting and test summary reports Knowledge of testing methodologies and the software development life cycle Possession of strong communication and writing skills Preferred Skills: Experience with leading a test team and developing junior testers Experience with independently developing and implementing a test strategy Experience developing an automated test framework Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Commensurate experience for education. Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Desired: Government contracting experience; experience working on an IT Project Team.
