Our FOH team is looking for an individuals to fill a Host / Food Runner role. Hosts welcome our restaurant guests with warmth, enthusiasm, and grace in our multi-faceted, neighborhood restaurant. Our Hosts also support our servers with bussing and providing guests water and managing the inventory of tables, reservations, and answering calls. Responsibilities . Be genuinely happy and constantly smiling! : ) . Welcome our guests with a friendly demeanor . Understand table numbers, seat positions, and flow of service . Be graceful in confirming reservations and showing guests to tables . Strong communication and listening skills to effectively deliver amazing service both to guests and teammates . Maintain accurate knowledge on hours of operation, relevant service, and facility information . Clearing and sanitizing tables as guests leave . Ability to work in a small team environment . Supports Take Out and Delivery orders as needed. . Receives Take Out orders from Food Runner kitchen staff, checks for accuracy, and addresses any inaccuracies. . Correctly presents the Take Out Guest check and processes payment for all food and beverages sold. . Addresses any Take Out Guest complaints. . Follows all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as specified by the restaurant. . Supports other Front-of-House positions as needed, providing a seamless Guest experience to all Guests. Experience Requested . Familiar with technology and the ability to learn our automated reservation management system . 1 Year Hosting in an upscale restaurant environment within the past 5 years is a plus but not required Practice Hospitality - Regardless of position within the company, we expect all team member to constantly, and obsessively, practice hospitality to all.
