Residential Counselor RTC/UIM Youth For Tomorrow is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, founded in 1986 by Hall of Fame Redskins Head Coach Joe Gibbs. The organization is large, diverse, experienced and committed to serving the "least, the lost and the lonely" amongst us. YFT began as a residential home for at-risk boys, grew to serve girls, then reached out with community-based programs in 2012. Today, YFT has a $36.5 million annual budget and operates 16 residential and outpatient programs. YFT is driven by a commitment to address "mental and behavioral health service gaps" in our community. YFT's services meet an urgent need in the community, prevent hospitalization, reduce suicides and addiction, and improve overall mental health care for children and adults. We provide services to uninsured and under insured populations. YFT's residential treatment program for girls and boys 11-18 years of age is located on a beautiful campus located in Bristow, Virginia, thirty-five miles west of Washington DC and only two miles south of the historic city of Manassas, VA. Our open campus of 215-acre has eleven beautiful, modern, single family-style homes; an on-campus school; and recreational facilities including a full size gym, weight room, a full size soccer field, basketball courts, and plans for a ropes course. YFT has voluntarily sought and achieved three national accreditations: Council On Accreditation (NY, NY); Joint Commission (Oakbrook Terrace, IL.); and AdvancED (Atlanta, GA.). YFT also is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities (VAISEF), an accrediting organization of the Virginia Council on Private Education, and is recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia's State Board of Education to provide secondary education to residential and day school students. YFT has a commitment to diversity and demonstrated organizational cultural competence with a diverse staff - a majority of people of color (64%) and female (65%). Approximately 40% of our staff is bilingual. YFT employs 350-400 full time professional staff. Youth For Tomorrow (YFT) has an opening in the Residential Department.
