Some positions are eligible for a Sign-On Bonus and/or Project Completion Bonus as negotiated. Job Summary Edifice is seeking an experienced Welder OCONUS for various international projects. This position is responsible for on-site performance in compliance with all safety, security and quality guidelines set by the contract and On-Site Project Manager. Responsible for attention to detail and excellence in performance of work as required by the project scope to weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. Essential Functions Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job. Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment. Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage. Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded. Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area. Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications AWS Certification High school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university within the construction, engineering, or business concentrations strongly preferred 3+ years' experience in Federal construction, including experience on OCONUS project sites Active DoD/DoS Top Secret Security Clearance and able to obtain approval for site access Ability to travel outside of the US on Federal government business.
