Project Coordinator - Drywall Position Summary The Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of construction and administrative duties in support of the Project Manager. The Project Coordinator supports the management with the flow of information between the field, office, senior management, and the customer to assure that components and systems are incorporated in accordance with the schedule. Function/Responsibilities Project Execution Work with PM and Superintendent on development of project start-up procedures and issue management Implement detailed procedures for the coordination and distribution of submittals, shop drawings, samples, etc. including assistance with review and approval as assigned Assist with maintaining project files on subcontractors and suppliers, bid package records, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications, and as-built documents Assist in the requisition procedure (review, submittal, payment) Assist in expediting subcontractor proposals Evaluate in conjunction with PM subcontractor requisitions relative to the actual work completed Cost Control Review in conjunction with PM, all subcontractors' schedules of value Assist with reviewing the appropriateness of subcontractor change orders for processing by PM Assist with the evaluation of subcontractor and status of Owner change orders and baseline cost estimates Assist with tracking general requisitions through payment Communications/Issue Management Establish and maintain relationships with GC/CM, subcontractors, and suppliers Assist in the review of contractor's shop drawings in accordance with design specifications/drawings and ensure that they properly relate to the construction work within the review time constraints Maintain document control Assist in managing and maintaining project specific information systems Assist in coordination of site activities with office activities Assist PM in communication of cost control status and issues to management in a timely manner Review the status of issues. Monitor the issues log and update weekly Prepare meeting minutes Assist in project close out Process requests for information and supplemental instructions Education/Experience High school diploma/GED Previous work experience in construction is preferred, however, training for the right candidate will be provided. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Analytical problem solving Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task and focus Detail driven Excellent organization skills Preferred Education/Experience: Degree/certificate in construction management. Estimating knowledge.
