IT Depot LLC, an emerging leader in cloud and virtualization solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated Cloud Solutionist that has a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills. The position will be directly responsible for assisting a federal customer understand and implement best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to scale the existing cloud solution. The Cloud Solutionist will be responsible for architecting and designing solutions for the Azure Cloud platform. While this is technical role, there is an expectation of client facing meetings in which business requirements and technical solutions are discussed. Primary Responsibilities: . Lead the design and implementation efforts of Azure solutions to meet business requirements . Create documentation around the setup, implementation, and design of the environment . Provide technical oversight, review, quality control and oversight of project team . Contribute to the development of Azure standards, best practices, and organizational capability . Act as an escalation point / SME for Azure related technical issues and decisions . Act in a "Trusted Advisor" role for our federal customer to foster a long-term relationship . Perform cloud-based solutions such as cloud assessments, architecture and design, migration of workloads, and create detailed customer deliverable documentation . Provide thought leadership and evangelism for the Azure solutions . Identify and develop new opportunities within the customer environment where they can continue to scale the cloud environment . Maintain technical certifications as required by the organization Requirements: Technical Skills: . Experience with Windows Azure Pack . Experience using various automation tools to support Azure migrations. . Strong Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2/2012/2012R2 . Configure and maintain Azure Active Directory (Federation/Sync) . Experience with Azure Site Recovery . Creating multiple subscriptions/tenants to support different projects and development teams . Configure multiple Remote Desktop Gateway solutions to support multiple tenants connecting to Azure Cloud services . Familiarity with Azure dashboard to create and provide Azure billing reports . Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications . Working knowledge of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking . 5+ years' experience as a Windows Engineer responsible for designing and deploying Microsoft Windows and Office products in an enterprise environment . 5+ years' experience deploying Microsoft Active Directory domain controllers. . 5+ years' experience working with Microsoft Group Policy management. . 3+ years' working in a cloud environment, preferably Azure. Experience in cloud must be in engineering or administering cloud virtual machines. . 3+ years Azure automation . 3+ years Powershell, Scripting, Python . 1+ year experience deploying Microsoft Remote Desk Gateway (RDG) and components. . Azure 301 Azure Architect certification is desired but not required. . Azure 104 Azure Administrator certification is preferred. Functional Skills: . Experience designing and planning Azure environments in Enterprise environments including application dependencies, client presentation mechanisms, network connectivity and overall virtualization strategies . Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure and strong understanding of Azure capabilities and limitations . Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape. . Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security etc.) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution . Strong knowledge of enterprise architectures and cloud reference architectures . Exposure to other Cloud Services providers such as AWS and plus General Skills: . Strong presentation, executive client management, and business development skills along with ability to create concise documentation for both technical and nontechnical audiences. . Excellent oral and written communication skills . Customer service experience / strong customer focus . Self-starter who is excited about technology . Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly. . Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, complex technical projects . Demonstrated experience in authoring technical white papers as well as project conceptualization and planning, is preferred **Employees are eligible for bonuses in addition to basepay.
