Our client, a growing full-service accounting firm is looking for an experienced accounting professional looking for a senior-level opportunity. The Accounting Manager will oversee the management of the Accounting Team (10 Bookkeepers) in all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of their client services. A natural problem-solver, the Accounting Manager will support the firm's accounting clients in through many of their monthly financials, incurred cost submissions, and client issues. Focused on attracting and retaining a portfolio of business, the Accounting Manager will meet with prospective and existing clients to discuss their accounting service needs while serving as an internal advocate for their clients and voice within the management team. Technically and operationally proficient, the Accounting Manager will continually seek to create systems, processes, and improvements where needed to achieve the company vision. The ideal candidate will also ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and Company procedures as well as assign, direct, and appraise assigned staff. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of quality services reflecting the firm's core values of providing efficient, knowledgeable, and delightful service to the firm's clients, producing a seamless process, quality outcomes, and excellent communication. The following are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to lead in this role. CPA preferred but not required, but must be an enrolled agent. While we are open to candidates nationwide, the candidate must be willing to travel to DC area at least quarterly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Assign and monitor all accounting team deliverables and deadlines Communicate with clients on the status of their projects, aiding, and serving as an advocate for the client within the team Assist the Accounting Team members in performing in the performance of their duties, supervising for client deadlines Participating in and providing regular updates to the Management team, including status and call reports for the Accounting Team Review all clients' monthly financials for accuracy; to ensure that we have captured revenue and expenses properly and are providing accurate information to clients Provide pricing assistance for clients submitting cost proposals while monitoring clients' budgeted hours, providing updates when needed Assess and provide recommendations for process and system improvement to support Accounting and company at-large REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration BENEFITS: Flexible Teleworking Options.
