We are working with our client to locate a seasoned Business Development professional who can bring integrity, dedication and proven PMP methodologies to an already successful group. In this role, you will: . Provide leadership and contract management expertise across both the Civilian and the Department of Defense program portfolio. . Responsible for new opportunities and organic growth of the Defense business portfolio including opportunity identification, solution development, capture and opportunity closing. . Manage all key aspects of a BD program from lead generation, teaming, proposal, award . Ensure development of addressable Defense pipeline of business for 2021 and beyond in identified strategic growth areas. . Achieve high customer satisfaction, retention and develop high levels of customer intimacy throughout business unit . Thought leadership in pertinent areas: Program Management, Performance Improvement, and Quality Management . Develop strategies and growth plans based upon sound, business-based analyses of market information and current and planned capabilities. This process results in significant business expansion and growth opportunities. Identify, develop and realize revenue opportunities, based upon these strategies. . Develop and manage the relationship between new or existing customers by cultivating relationships with key stakeholders throughout the market. . Lead proposal development and capture efforts. . Serve as management interface for the customers within the Defense Business Unit. Respond to quick-turnaround information requests, manage employee related issues, and ensure high level quality performance and growth across programs. . Work with corporate executive management to continually improve business development and proposal development processes. . Be a significant contributor to strategic planning sessions. Requirements: . Demonstrated management and growth of a programs with annual revenue in excess of $10M . Minimum of 10 years DoD government experience . DoD experience, knowledge, relationships is desired . Built a pipeline of future opportunities in excess of $20 million . Captured services opportunities in the Defense market as a prime contractor and a team member. . Demonstrated supervisory and program management experience, and proven ability to manage client relations . Knowledge of government contracts (IDIQ, GWAC, Task Order based vehicles) is a must . Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key customers/partners, established relationships with source selection authority a plus. . Demonstrated track record of generating new opportunities through past experience in the Defense marketplace. . Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, marketing and communication skills are essential. . Demonstrated ability to manage a staff of program management professionals Self starter with high sense of urgency for closing business . BS/BA or other applicable degree; combination of experience and education is acceptable. MS or MBA is preferred.
