The Project Manager has both academic and field experience. They use their experience to analyze drawings and specifications, develop a scope of work, and prepare detailed estimates for specialty geotechnical projects including cost of schedules. They work closely with others and communicate with a variety of people from clients to suppliers to operational personnel.Job Responsibilities include:Evaluate bid opportunitiesGather and review specifications and drawings to determine the scope of workAttend pre-bid and post-bid review meetings and conduct site visitsCollaborate with Pre-Construction and Operations Teams to determine the best way to build the projectPrepare quantity takeoffs, schedule and budgetPrepare and deliver proposals to clientsFacilitate turning over the project to the Operations Team after project awardDevelop and maintain relationships with clients and engineersIdentify and implement improvements to processes, procedures and productsQualificationsB.S. degree in Civil Engineer, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or equivalent degree and experience5-10 years of heavy civil construction or geotechnical estimating and/or, project management experienceAbility and willingness to travelExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to perform critical thinking and creative problem solving Additional InformationSchnabel is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is fully committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.Schnabel participates with EVerify.
