We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide enterprise-level assistance to our customers. You will diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and help our customers install applications and programs. Technical Support Engineer responsibilities include resolving network issues, configuring operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support. You will use email and chat applications to give clients quick answers to simple IT issues. For more complex problems that require nuanced instruction, you will contact clients via phone and/or provide clear, written instructions and technical manuals. To be qualified for this role, you should hold a degree in a relevant field, like Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering. Accreditation and/or minimum 2 years' experience using cloud technologies is a pre-requisite to fulfil this role. Microsoft, Cisco, Linux or similar certification is a plus. If you're naturally a helper, enjoy assisting people with computer issues and are able to explain technical details simply to users located in our various global offices, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you will be a person that end users trust. They will rely on you to provide timely and accurate solutions to their technical problems. responding to technical support calls from end users of computers and software applications setting up and installing new computers, networks and software setting up user accounts and profiles on the network installing updates, known as patches, to software applications installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software and other applications such as Microsoft Office diagnosing and fixing network problems and hardware or software faults maintaining inventories of hardware and software managing backups of servers, in case of data loss keeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions, for future reference. logging and processing support calls installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades setting up accounts for staff, ensuring that they know how to log in solving password and connectivity problems talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter responding to breakdowns investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults repairing equipment and replacing parts supervising junior engineering and technical staff obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings checking computer equipment for electrical safety maintaining records of software licenses managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies dealing with and managing vendor and supplier relationships Expected Start Date: 2021/12/01 Job Type: Full-time Salary: $42,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Work Remotely: No
