PRIMARY PURPOSE The Talent Acquisition Associate is responsible for ensuring recruiting success throughout the organization. This position will play a critical role in ensuring CNA is hiring the best possible talent through effective, efficient processes and strategies, while remaining compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws. This will be achieved through partnerships with hiring managers to understand and report on recruiting goals and accomplishments; developing, and executing recruiting plans including employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. JOB DESCRIPTION AND/OR DUTIES 1. Assist Director, Human Resources and managers to understand the business unit/division/department profile, goals, and talent requirements. Translate those business requirements into successful cost effective strategies and recruitment solutions. Follow-up with hiring managers to obtain feedback on candidates presented and to determine the effectiveness and status of recruiting plans for each position. 2. Support all recruiting related activities including but not limited to: posting job openings, maintaining comprehensive list of recruiting sources and spending on budget for recruiting, coordinating interview schedules and candidate travel, preparing and delivering interview packets, briefing and debriefing candidates before and after interviews, drafting offer letters, tracking employee referrals, creating and updating reports, and assisting with on-campus recruiting program. Represent and promote CNA's value proposition to potential candidates about CNA and the specific role. 3. Develop and maintain strong internal relationships and external recruiting sources to create a partnership that yields long term success, credibility, and contributes to a healthy virtual pool of quality, diverse candidates. 4. Assist Director, Human Resources to ensure that recruiting plans and strategies incorporate diversity and inclusion strategies. Build contact lists and create effective outreach strategies targeted to attract a diverse population of qualified and motivated individuals to CNA (eg multi-generational, veterans, disabled, minorities, PhDs, etc.). 5. Coordinate university/conference recruiting. Develop and maintain detailed recruiting event calendar, including all phases of touch points for each event. Attend career fairs and information sessions throughout the year to develop a network with industry contacts, universities, associations, and trade groups. 6. Maintain the accuracy and confidentiality of all recruiting data (eg ATS, offer letters, job advertising, candidate files, and related databases) using CNA's applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment tracking tools to ensure timely and accurate documentation of applicant data throughout the process. 7. Assist the Director, Human Resources and the Chief Research Officer (CRO) to gather and compile qualified candidate pool for CNA's Research Intern Program. Provide relationship management support and services to the CRO throughout the period of the summer program. 8. Elevate CNA's visibility and support talent pipeline growth through increased electronic and social media presence. Update and continually refresh our employment brand/message using content generated from internal and external sources - effectively convey CNA's story and ensure consistency of voice across all communication channels. Review and recommend updates to CNA's digital presence, including video and banner advertising campaigns. 9. Work with Lead HR Assistant and other HR colleagues to coordinate and provide logistical support for recruiting events and new hire onboarding process. 10. Ensure performance excellence through application and interpretation of data analytics and metrics. Track effectiveness of recruiting campaigns. Generate reports and metrics as required that assist in making decisions, improving recruiting processes and preparing the CNA's affirmative action plan. 11. Contribute to year-over-year performance improvements to the recruiting program. 12. Provide guidance to ensure consistent adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state laws/regulations. Stay current on employment law and employment law trends. 13. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, communications, or related field. 2. Experience: 3-5 years of high volume sourcing, recruiting or customer service experience. Experience with university/campus recruiting strongly preferred. 3. Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Adobe products (including Photoshop and Acrobat) with the ability to pick new programs up quickly. Must be internet and social media savvy. Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking system preferred. Must be organized with excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize work, handle multiple projects with deadlines, and work with minimal supervision in a collaborative team environment. Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail. Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive employee information and demonstrate tact and a professional demeanor in dealing with all levels of staff/candidates. Must have demonstrated imagination, initiative, and strong quantitative and problem solving skills. Must have effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills, including editing and demonstration of correct punctuation, spelling, and grammars. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building and maintaining relationships. 4. Other: Must be able to travel up to 50% during university recruitment busy season (Sept-November, January-March) 5.
