ECS is seeking a Semiconductor Device Engineer to work in our Arlington, VA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Job Description: ECS is seeking a motivated self-starter with expertise in semiconductor device physics and transistor-level circuit design and modeling. The candidate will support a Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in all technical aspects of program development and execution. This position is for someone who is interested in building a broad view of technological ecosystems, solving challenging problems, and making a direct impact to US technological capabilities. Candidates must possess an active US Government Secret clearance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing independent technical analysis, risk assessment, and risk mitigation of on-going performer progress on programs Organizing and conducting technical workshops, proposal reviews, and progress reviews Surveying state-of-the-art technologies in support of new program developments Conducting DoD mission impact and cost analysis Identifying technology transition opportunities across commercial and defense sectors Preparing reports and briefings for Government inquiries Drafting and maintaining program control documentation Required Skills: Must be a US Citizen and have an active US Government Secret clearance Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field 5+ years of relevant work experience Proven experience with transistor-level circuit design and modeling, silicon device IV and CV characterization, FEOL and BEOL reliability analysis Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and behavior at extreme temperatures Familiarity with CMOS manufacturing processes and tradeoffs Familiarity with memory principles and design, particularly SRAM Personal Qualities Outstanding attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated and a demonstrated self-starter Proven ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams Exceptional professionalism in fast-paced environments Desired Skills: PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field Previous publications, patents, or innovations in related to field of research ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, citizenship, disability, veteran status or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
