The company's recent growth has created an opportunity for new program leadership. We are seeking a Deputy Program Manager who will support the Program Manager in the delivery of a broad portfolio of performance-based data management and IT services through a BPA with the US Department of Education. BPA teams specialize in support, maintenance, and enhancement of mission-driven federal web applications; work includes help desk management, data collection, and online collaboration. Responsibilities The Deputy Program Manager is accountable for meeting contractual performance criteria and all due dates during service delivery. They will focus on three key areas: Talent and Resource Management Supervise, motivate, develop, and direct a team of managers and support staff in successful execution of their assigned task areas Mentor staff to support their professional development and career progression Operations and Delivery Support the PM in day-to-day management of the program Work with the PMO to develop and monitor detailed project plans, anticipate risks, and proactively plan appropriate mitigation strategies Ensure program deliverables are implemented on schedule in a quality manner Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the delivery lifecycle and serve as a point of contact for customer issues or concerns Develop and oversee the implementation of long-term and strategic objectives so customer requirements will be satisfied throughout the contract Support or lead the response to BPA call requests, including the development of ROMs, pricing, and technical proposals Interface with functional areas such as contracts, subcontracts, PMO, and billing Effectively communicate and collaborate with a complex and diverse set of stakeholders Program Growth Identify new business opportunities within the scope of the BPA Perform research and data collection in support of associated strategic tasks Monitor public and private industry best practices and advocate for new approaches and technologies that create customer value Explore and co-create solutions that address the needs of customer Work closely with AEM leaders across business units in designing and implementing business programs of varying size and complexity Required Qualifications 10 years' experience managing multimillion dollar federal contracts including complex programs with dozens of FTEs and multiple subcontractors Experience managing multiple workstreams, project initiatives, and business transformation projects that drive customer outcomes and support strategic growth of a portfolio of contracts or BPAs Proven ability to guide, lead, and mentor project teams across the lifecycle of complex programs and strategic initiatives Demonstrated ability to be successful in a fast-paced, complex, and matrixed environment Beneficial Qualifications Substantial experience in one or more of the following disciplines: end-to-end data collection, kindergarten through 12th grade education data, grants management, complex federal system operations, maintenance and enhancement, and compliance with federal and security requirements Superior internal and external stakeholder management skills Education and Additional Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field PMP certification preferred Must be a US citizen with the ability to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship Must have ability to obtain a government public trust clearance AEM is a federal contractor and complies with Executive Order 14042 - Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors.
